I’m Kit - a Clinical Psychologist working in East Melbourne, Victoria and via telehealth.
In my work as a Clinical Psychologist I take a supportive, collaborative approach to work towards things that are meaningful to you.
My work is grounded in warmth, openness and curiosity.
I strive to tailor evidence-based therapies to your individual goals, based on your own values and preferences.
I specialise in the assessment and treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
(OCD) via Exposure and Response Prevention. I also support adults and young people with experiences of:
Anxiety, stress and phobias
Depression and mood disorders including bipolar affective disorder
Psychotic disorders including schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder
Interpersonal challenges, emotional distress and dysregulation
I have experience working in public and private mental health services, including Alfred Health, Barwon Health, The Melbourne Clinic and headspace. I have worked to support adolescents, young adults, adults, families and carers. Outside of my private practice work, I currently work as a Clinical Psychologist at Alfred Health.
My approach is tailored for each client, using evidence-based treatments including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Research
Through my Doctoral research, I investigated how people with social anxiety initiate and maintain high-quality romantic relationships. I have previously worked in research at Swinburne University on studies relating to loneliness and social anxiety, and for the Australian Temperament Project, a longitudinal study of social and emotional development.
